Raising Awareness

Hazard mapping, vulnerability assessment, situation analysis, sharing meetings and mobilization of theatre and the media for awareness raising among community people will ensure awareness on disaster preparedness which will help local community in disaster preparedness.

Enhance Capacity

Training, organising of the community and provision of rescue materials will ensure capacity building of the community and the stakeholders for disaster preparedness.

Protecting Asset and Livelihood

Providing support in identifying and implementing small scale mitigation activities such as embankments, culverts, landslide protection, repair and maintenance of infrastructure can reduce the loss contributing towards minimizing the effects of disaster.

Adovocay for Policy Change

Policy advocacy is an integrated part of the AA Nepal's DIPECHO project. AAN believes that people centered policy can ensure the reduction of vulnnerabilities and risk of the people in the most vulnerable areas.
